Without HIM i am none
Postgradute in Animal Physiology and Education, Diploma holder in Fine Arts & Vedanta, I kept feeling the incomplete me, till I found Kalamandalam Gopinath in 1974, my Teacher in Kathakali, Freind and Art-Philosopher. Left click the picture to learn about him. His personal site is....

The History or Story Behind My Site
It is not just casual or coincidence that reached me to this site. FREESERVERS of course derves the due thanks, which I casually found while browsing. My father was a dedicated radio engineer who spoke more to the electronic gadgets than to his wife and the only child. Being from the land of Kathakali, Sreekrishnapuram, Valluvanad, in Kerala, he loved all forms of arts, especially Kathakali. From the age of 3, I have been aquainted with Kathakali in the temple premises. Mythological characters with their ora of aesthetic mysticism appeared in brilliant colours right through my dreams. My Guru Kalamandalam Gopinath took me by hand to become a Katahkali artist. My mother use to tell me that I should become a teacher, the only profession, which I never wanted to take up. Being poorly brought up in maths, I chose to learn something really alive, BIOLOGY. Due credits go to Prof. T.Radhakrishnan (Maharaja's college (Cochin),Prof. Appukuttan (Sacred Hearts College, Cocchin)Dr. S.P.Karmarkar, Dr. P.T. Muthe, Prof. Mrs. Mathai, Dr.Kothwal, Prof. Zakhariah and Prof. Vakharia (Wilson College, Bombay). In the mid sixties in Bombay University, it was impossible to work for postgraduation without having a small job. One that easily finds is the post of a junior teacher in a college. I took it up. To my own dismay I could make it not too badly. It's the biologist and teacher in me that made me go further into the aesthetics, philosophy and spirituality of arts. Now the paternal 'technology-gene' in me woke up fully to acquire a computer and other needed gadgets to build this site. Though these materials are costly, I madeup. A true teacher is always poor DOWN to earth, yet rich UP to sky. Without being in the cyber world, can we ever do it! Are you feeling bubbles somewhere inside! Don't take any antacids. Blow it up and let it take shape.

WITH WHOM & WHAT I GREW UP
My Mother who still keeps me going is the ever guiding feminine energy that runs my 'home', wherein dwell my wife, son and daughter. My Grand-father late. Karimpet Achyutha Menon, and grand-mother late C.P. Lakshmikutty Amma together sincerely designed joint family of over 30 members under one roof. No doubt my grand mother had to go therough the laborious 'Labour' process more than ten times. The joint famil had enough variety to have nearly all our arts well taken in. The Kathakali-Gene comes from my Grand-father too. Some of my uncles also played their roles in bringing up the 'whole me'.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Ernakulam and vaduthala, where I teach the Senior Secondarr students, is a Mission with a vision - "Education is a process of realisation of the man that is already within oneself." Art+Science+Philosophy+Religion = Culture, is the institutional formula.
